The Al-Rashed Group was founded in 1911 by the late Abdulaziz Abdulmohsin Al Rashed as a trading company. Since the discovery of oil in Kuwait, the Group has participated in major infrastructure and industrial government projects. It is a client-focused and service-oriented group whose business heritage is based on quality, reputation, customer service and performance, with emphasis on human resources and information technology. Its team of 300 staff offers partners and principal companies services including commercial, shipping and handling, travel, government and end-user approvals, technical sales, project intelligence and follow-up, local procurement and logistics, and after-sales service and support. Al-Rashed International Shipping Co., a division of the Group, was launched in 1952 and, after 1991, diversified and grew into a leader in Kuwait's maritime industry.
