EFL International Distribution Ltd. commenced operating in 1983 under the name Eurofrance Ltd., providing import and export services primarily between Ireland and France. The creation of the single market enabled the company to expand its import and export services to most of the then EEC member countries. In 1986, the company expanded into the airfreight industry with membership of IATA, and later developed deep sea cargo services. Today, EFL International Distribution Ltd. is one of the few remaining indigenous Irish companies still operating within the Irish market. The company's core services within the EU include driver-accompanied trailers, short sea containers and express vehicles operating on a daily basis, along with international pet transport through Pets on Board and motorcycle transport through Bike on Board. EFL International Distribution Ltd. is an accredited AEO operator and a member of IATA, FIATA and IIFA. Network membership provides the capability to handle various modes of transport within 197 countries, with access to 9,697 member offices in 854 cities and ports.
